Thank You for registering for the Art Competition. Please review the Terms and Conditions of the competition below. You will be sent a confirmation email within the next couple days confirming the details of your entry.

Registration for the Art Competition must be submitted on or before the Art Competition Closing Date October 31st, 2015 via the SMCCU website.
Any Registrations received after this date and time will not be qualified for entry into the Competition. Only 1 (one) Registration is required per school/college to be completed by a school staff member and must contain all the details requested within the Registration. The School/College Contact Name noted in the Registration will be responsible for
co-ordinating their school/college submission and liaising with the SMCCU.
All artwork must be delivered to the SMCCU on or before the Art Competition Closing Date October31st, 2015. Entries received after this date and time will not be qualified for entry into the Competition. The school/college may submit a maximum of 3 (three) artworks per Age Category (see ‘The Artwork’
below for categories) Artwork must be delivered and collected to/from the
SMCCU by the school/college as one delivery/ collection and not by the entrants or their family/ friends
On arrival at the SMCCU, each piece of artwork will be given a unique number and labeled by the SMCCU noting the following details to enable us to
Entrant Full Name
Entrant Age (not school year/grade)
Any artwork submitted to the SMCCU without these details will not be considered for judging. All non-winning artwork may be collected from the SMCCU from December 5th, 2015. Along with the artwork, the package ready for collection will contain one (1) copy of the Art Competition Calendar for
each entrant and ten (10) complimentary calendars for the school. Each entrant shall also recieve one (1) voucher for a complimentary Heritage Tour of the Al
Fahidi Historic District. Winning artwork and any uncollected non-winning
artwork must be collected from the SMCCU by January 15th, 2016 by 5pm. After this date and time, any remaining artwork will become the property
of the SMCCU.
Artwork will be judged in the following categories based on entrant age:
Age Category 1: 7 to 9 years
Age Category 2: 10 to 12 years
Age Category 3: 13 to 15 years
Age Category 4: 16 to 18 year
To be eligible to qualify for the prize/s, the entrants must be aged between 7 years and 18 years at the date of the start of the competition The Artwork:
Artwork must be the original art of the entrant being new or produced in the last 1 (one year) and based on 1 (one) of the Heritage Sites named in the Site Selection document. The artwork may be the entrant’s own interpretation of the Heritage Site selected from the document. Any artwork submitted that does not fit this criteria will not be considered for judging Paintings, drawings and original prints are accepted. Photographs, videos, culptures and 3D constructions will not be accepted.
The artwork must be unframed and not exceed 100cms x 100cms Whilst every care will be taken, the school/college
accepts that submitted artwork will not be liable for any loss or damage, however caused, either in transit to and from the SMCCU, or during any period of storage, packing or unpacking, or in any period in
which the artwork is in the SMCCU’s keeping. The entrant and school/college agrees to the reproduction of all submitted artwork for marketing at
the SMCCU (including press /publicity/ website & brochure and any other printed material).
