The educational programs for schools and universities across the UAE and all over the world are tailored made to meet the needs of your audience and are delivered by our Emirati presenters in a stimulating and interactive cultural environment. School and university students, teachers and parents will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the local culture, traditions and religion of the Emirates in a fun and engaging learning environment. Our Center located in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is the perfect backdrop for students to explore, with our experienced presenters.

Our flagship educational program offer, among others, the opportunity to experience traditional homemade Emirati food in the authentic Majlis or courtyard of our historic windtower house. During the cultural meal, participants will be introduced to the traditions and customs of Emirati family life, the importance of coffee as part of honoring guests, and an open Q & A session. Our cultural mosque program allows our guests to learn about the significance of the house of worship as part of the culture and traditions of the Emirates.

All school’s program contents are inspired by the learning outcomes of the UAE National Education and Social Studies Curriculum of the Ministry of Education in order to support schools’ teaching in this crucial subject. Starting from the local perspective, the activities are intended to transmit to our audience the principles of the Global Citizenship Education including: recognizing and appreciate different identities and develop attitudes of care and empathy for others including the respect for the environment and diversity.

Recognizing the importance of a lifelong learning perspective, we offer specialized Teachers Cultural Induction Program especially designed to give to school and university teachers the unique chance to gain awareness about the culture and the traditions of the UAE and of the role of teachers in the UAE community in a friendly and open minded environment. Each teacher, at the end of the training, is awarded with a personalized certificate of participation. The same program can be tailored for the Schools Parents Associations.

As part of its special educational initiatives, SMCCU has launched the “Dubai Vision Competition” that, every year, is involving hundreds of students from public and private schools creating joint cultural projects on renewable energies and innovation.
